Research shows that the current average attention span is less than 5 minutes at a stretch; people encounter a distraction every 11 minutes and on an average, workplace interruptions and distractions consume about 30% of the workday. Lack of focus is also chiefly responsible for poor attention skills, increased stress, boredom, frustration and procrastination. Distractions, Inadequate awareness and lack of attention are the primary reasons for accidents and mishaps at workplace as well as on the roads.

We are living in an age of information overload, multi-tasking and low attention spans. As an executive living in the 21st century, it is very likely that you are involved in multiple projects. And it is essential that you need to pay 100% attention to most (if not all) components of the projects. Most people quickly get into ‘multi-tasking’ and think that they are helping themselves. Research after research indicates that multi-tasking will NOT help you to be productive!

“Without focusing and getting to clarity you cannot lead. You cannot motivate. You cannot plan. You cannot communicate.” – Bobb Biehl

The ability to focus is perhaps the most important of all skills. Life style, lack of training, distractions and various other reasons have depleted the capacity to focus of the current day executive. If the people can consciously work on improving the quality of focus, it will make an overall positive impact in the results in EVERY WALK OF LIFE. The productivity will improve, stress levels will go down and one will be able to save massive amounts of time too.

Keeping this in mind we have created FOCUS @ WORK. This program has been evolved from years of personal experience and over 21 years of interacting with executives from 8 countries. The program also contains a lot of precious inputs from the experience of Nishant Kasibhatla (Singapore) participating at the World Memory Championships and breaking a Guinness Record in memory.
